Cassava

Also known as Yuca is a West African and South American plant that is similar to potatoes and yams. It is naturally healthy and it is used to make variety of food products. 

RIPE CASSAVA

Trim the ends of the cassava to determine its quality. The inside of good cassava will be white, while the inside of a spoiled cassava will be black.

Except for rice and wheat, cassava provide more calories to the world calories balance than any other food. More than half of the world’s cassava is produced in Africa.

Cassava, like other roots and tubers, is gluten-free. Gluten-free starch that is utilized in special celiac disease food preparations.

A cassava-based side dish that is popular and traditional in the West African cuisine. The dish is made using cassava pulp that has been fermented and grated or granulated.
